Returns & Refund Policy

At Layer By Layer Solutions, we stand behind the quality of every layer we print. If your order isn't quite right, we are committed to making it right in accordance with the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act.

1. Faulty or Damaged Items

If a product arrives damaged or fails due to a manufacturing defect:

Remedy: We will provide a replacement at no extra cost or a full refund (including original shipping).
Notification: Please contact us within 14 days of receiving your item with a photo of the defect or damage.
Exclusions: This does not cover damage caused by incorrect installation, overloading beyond specified limits, or normal wear and tear.

2. Change of Mind

Because many of our items—such as the Isolator Brackets—are printed to order in specific materials (ASA/PETG) and colors:

Stocked Items: Pre-printed items, we offer a 14-day return window for a store credit or refund, provided the item is in its original, unused condition.
Shipping: Return shipping costs for change-of-mind returns are the responsibility of the buyer.

3. 3D Printing Characteristics

Please note that 3D printing is an additive manufacturing process.

Surface Finish: Minor surface variations, visible layer lines, and small artifacts are natural characteristics of FDM printing and are not considered defects unless they affect the structural integrity or fitment of the part.

4. How to Start a Return

To initiate a return, please email us at cameron@layerbylayersolutions.xyz with your order number and a brief description and/or photos of the issue. We aim to respond to all inquiries within 24–48 hours.
